This Morning there were a few more cars in downtown Jefferson City than on a normal Monday. Vice-President nominee Sarah Palin was in town. The rally was held on the south Capitol lawn and started at 11. You needed a ticket to get it, but it was free and people who wanted a good seat got there around 8 a.m. Several Missouri politicians, including Missouri's Lt. Governor Peter Kinder and United States Senator Kit Bond made their speech about why a McCain/Palin presidency would be better for the country. Then Palin was introduced along with country music star, Hank Williams Jr. Williams sang the National Anthem. Then he sang a song about McCain and Palin using the music from his hit song "Family Tradition".
To finish the event up, Gov. Palin also talked about how a McCain/Palin presidency would be better for America than a Obama/Biden one. It was a beautiful day for the event and lots of people showed up. The rally lasted to about 12:30 and by one o'clock every thing was back to normal in the Capitol City.
